Castlemaine State Festival is the proud recipient of a Mount Alexander Shire Community Grant for $2,000.  The Grant will be used to assist in the work to deliver the TowardsCarbonNeutral aim “to contribute our experience to the developing knowledge base about sustainable event management, particularly arts events”

V/Line is a major Sponsor of the 2009 Festival.  Their contribution to TowardsCarbonNeutral is no less spectacular.  Transportation by public transport greatly reduces Greenhouse Gas emissions and V/Line has invested significantly in the promotion of train travel to the Festival.   We hope our data analysis will show an increase in train travel and decrease in car travel compared to the 2007 Festival.  Visit www.vline.com.au
